The human imagination may be among the [...]

NEW NORMI WEBSITE LAUNCHED

Update!
Not only a new website, but the NORMI site has moved to a new server housed in the One Wilshire Building in LA. Home to over 120 telcom companies, this datacenter is state of the art, featuring the utmost in redundancy and security. With premium network providers such as MZIMA and SAVVIS, NORMI's new dual opteron server will provide sharp response times for website visitors. The move was accomplished with no downtime whatsoever after careful planning by NORMI's website development and hosting provider, Compusoar Services.
We hope you enjoy the new performance.

NORMI's new website will offer more mold screening and remediation information for homeowners who are concerned about the Indoor Air Quality they live with in their home and office every day. These are big problems and NORMI is ready to help with the solutions.

Toxic molds, like Stachybotrys, have been receiving a lot of press in the last several years. So has the proliferation of "scam artists" who claim they can identify toxic molds by touch or sight. Insurance companies are running away from "mold" and excluding it from insurance policies and realtors are concerned about the probabilities of getting a "deal-breaker" mold report. All the hysteria and extremism has risen to a shout and it is time for someone to stand up and say, "enough is enough!" NORMI brings a real, down-to-earth, common sense approach to mold problems that includes inspection, identification, assessment, and solutions. A network of trained professionals gives you the best opportunity to get the truth about mold and its effects on the health of you and your family.

The NORMI website is a resource center. It is a place to find Certified IAQ/Mold Inspectors, Certified Mold Remediators, Certified Indoor Environmental Advisors, Certified Environmental Evaluators, and a host of affiliate members who are schooled by NORMI to perfect their respective craft. It is a place where you can find a library of current, up-to-date information on mold and its health effects. It is a place to find answers you need to solve problems you may otherwise live with.

"I believe the time is right for us to 'go to the head of the class'", remarked Doug Hoffman*, Executive Director of NORMI. "There is a vacuum of training in the mold industry and NORMI intends to fill that gap by being the premier training organization in the country for IAQ and mold professionals. NORMI's credibility is solid and its influence is expanding every day as legislators across the country seek our advise on writing licensing legislation that really works. We're so excited to be able to affect the industry so positively but especially satisfied at the difference our professionals are being able to make in the way people live in their indoor environments. NORMI is all about doing it right. That is powerful!"

Bookmark this site and come back often. The industry is dynamic and, with its ever-changing nature, our website will become a place to find the information and the professionals you need to solve your indoor air quality problems.

*Mr. Hoffman is the author of "Mold-Free Construction" and has an extensive career in the areas of IAQ, Construction, and Mold.
