SALES/MARKETING (both NORMI and NORMI Members)
GOAL—Expand the F.R.A.P. (First Responder Awareness Program) training program to include more members and develop other ways to use this model to the benefit of each individual NORMI member. Example, the CEE (Certified Environmental Educator) program. Developed CAP concept as foundation for these types of programs. Re-energize the FRAP Program, make available Realtor program, and initiate the AIA for Gold Members.
GOAL—Develop ways for the www.NORMI.org website to become more of a leads-sourcing program for ACTIVE members. Example, the IAQ Survey, 3-5 minute public service promos, www. Kids.NORMI.org, etc. Developed IAQScreening.com for EVERY NORMI member and FLOOD Training Program. Post a HURRICANE Preparedness Training program for public, update Press Releases more regularly, investigate news resources for opportunities to promote NORMI and its members.
GOAL—Research and develop cooperative advertising opportunities for NORMI members that will prove to provide an ongoing stream of qualified leads for the areas in which members are trained. ServiceMagic launched the Energy Audit program. Encourage ServiceMagic to launch the IAQ catergory we promoted for lead sourcing. Partner with local members to promote public awareness programs (through local news media) that are a part of our NORMI Regional Trainings.
GOAL—Find both traditional and innovative ways of marketing the NORMI brand by expanding the selection of and providing more novelties, logo items, and other “give-away” tools. Example, may more easily be accomplished by advertising the www.NORMIPro.com website and telephone links of Premium Members. Still under investigation. Market the NORMI brand by encouraging local participation in speaking engagements, book-signings, and other items made available to the membership. Promote universal usage of the NORMI logo both domestically and internationally.
MEMBER SUPPORT
GOAL—Add tele-conferencing for CE Training as a feature available to all NORMI members. This LISTEN ONLY line would expose more members to the value of continuing education. Number added and offered ca. 75% of the time due technically challenges. Re-run archives at designated times during the week following the Tuesday Night LIVE call. Give tele-conference REPLAY option for listening to the call the NEXT DAY on the telephone.
GOAL—Expand LIVE Online Support to include all sites and offer support for some strategic partners like activTek, EnviroScreening, and others. ONLINE Chat made available on all sites including the new member section. Provide ONLINE Chat for European partners in multiple languages.
GOAL—Expand strategic partnerships but only as it makes sense and adds real value to the NORMI membership. Still investigating. Ongoing effort in this regard.
GOAL—Develop different levels of membership to allow for basic and premium memberships with different levels of benefit. Three levels of membership developed as Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Enhance support options for Gold Members including special training opportunities in video conference studio and a Gold Member telephone support line.
GOAL—Develop opportunities for more training and more support utilizing means additional to Internet including, but not limited to, telephone conferencing support. Added. Ongoing effort in this regard.
PRODUCTS/SERVICES
GOAL—Develop a product that enables NORMI Members to provide their QST services, using the IAQ Management Program, from a distance. This could take the form of a “Do-It-Yourself” program utilizing existing web resources. Developed DIY and PSP Program. Continuing to develop automated training programs and products that support these "remote" services.
FINANCIAL MATTERS
GOAL—Provide a less expensive ACTIVE Membership option with matching benefits. Developed BRONZE Membership. Match individual certification requirements with membership, reducing the number of 2-party company memberships to individual memberships, potentially saving money for the member.
GOAL—When it is sensible to do so, bundle classes at a savings to the member. First offered bundled class in Baltimore--SUCCESS. Follow the model of bundled classes as Regional Trainings to save attendees money in travel and expand offerings to more nearly match NORMI Training Conference.
NEW GOAL--The NORMI Training Conference 2009 was a great success so we want to make it more affordable and more accessible to our entire membership. Offer financing options for NORMI Training Conference 2010 and keep costs as low as possible. Investigate the possibility of a commission structure to help offset the cost of the conference for each member.
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
GOAL—Develop refresher courses for all certifications and for a fee that is affordable. Developed BTS Affiliate discount program for all courses. Offered some refresher modules FREE to ACTIVE Members. Offer introductory discounts on new classes and discounts for ONLINE bundled classes.
GOAL—Do more technology training and provide such training outside of the regularly scheduled CE Training. These trainings would be more “consulting” and support oriented to deal with specific issues faced by NORMI Members in the field. IAQ Basic 101 developed. Develop tutorial online courses for such subjects as website editing, equipment usage, equipment placement, software, etc.
GOAL—Establish CEU class offerings to meet the Texas Mold Licensing Law and Florida Mold Legislation. CBA and QST Approved in Miami-Dade and CMA developed for Texas and Florida. Support and expand the Alliance Group in their efforts to develop relationships with non-profit organizations and States both domestically and internationally. Goal is to have solid relationships established with 10 new organizations this year.
