Sales/Marketing

Our plans for 2007 include marketing the NORMI membership to New NORMI Members and attracting new members through an Accreditation program and an Affiliate Members program.  These will be done by an application process and will enable us to help each of these categories of members promote their individual business interests through links from www.NORMI.org to Premium Websites.  This will provide a wider range of services offered to your clients.
GOAL:  Add Accreditation and Affiliate Programs to www.NORMI.org

FREE Seminars will continue to be a way to market NORMI to the public.  These will include awareness seminars to the general public as well as FRAP (First Responders Awareness Program) seminars to first responders, like parametics, firemen, policemen, and other service personnel.  This is a great way to promote your individual business AND the benefits of NORMI.
GOAL:  Hold at least TEN FREE Seminars this year throughout the country.

The new www.NORMI.org will include a public bulletin board, LIVE Help, "Oscar the Answerman", videos, and more resources.  This year we will be "fleshing out" the NORMI site to make it more user-friendly for the public and enhance and optimize search engine placement.  A bigger and better Resource Library will make NORMI the "go-to" website for mold information and industry standards.
GOAL:  Double the size of the NON-Member Section of the Website

Member Support

The LIVE Online Support was a good idea but not as good as the LIVE Telephone support we will continue to make available to ACTIVE Members.  Want to talk to a person?  Want to order by telephone?  Want your questions answered "NOW"?  This will be easier in 2007 with the addition of LIVE Instant Messaging, LIVE Customer Service, and LIVE NORMI Store Ordering.
GOAL: Make LIVE Customer Service an Efficient Option

Extensions of the ACTIVE Member benefits will be offered this year to include more discounted services.  Service Magic, InfraSpection, IOA, and Benefits NOW have been huge additions to offer greater value to the NORMI membership.  The cost of ACTIVE Membership will remain low while the benefits will continue to increase.
GOAL:  Add THREE New Strategic Partners to the ACTIVE Membership Benefits List

The New ACTIVE Member section is a powerful new addition to the NORMI website.  There will be more current postings as well as more downloads.  A new section for MP3 Downloads will make downloading and listening to archived trainings easier than ever.
GOAL:  Put in place an MP3 iPod Download Section

Products/Services

NORMI Store discounts for ACTIVE Members are now available and will continue to be throughout the year.  In some cases, ONLY ACTIVE Members will receive the discounts (for instance, the new Quart Package pricing), and some products may only be introduced to ACTIVE Members first.
GOAL:  Introduce new products to ACTIVE Members first where possible.

CMR, NTP, and Affiliate websites are being made available to ACTIVE Members.  These websites offer multiple template designs and the ability to link FROM the Premium Website to your other websites.  The New Affiliate Shopping Cart option is a viable and inexpensive option for members who do not need or desire a full-blown shopping cart but there are limitations to the information you will be able to gain and the commissions you can earn.  There will be some changes in this program as the year progresses.
GOAL:  New Premium Websites for Accredited and Affiliate Members

New brochures include NORMI Certificate of Sanitization, NORMI Healthier Home Warranty, Microbloc Brochures, NORMI ACTIVE Membership, and more to come as programs are developed.
GOAL:  Develop a new brochure for each new program

Financial Matters

Monthly recurring billing will continue to be the prominent choice for ACTIVE Members, although semi-annual and annual payments will save money.  Recurring billing provides an opportunity to consider more seriously payment programs for purchased product or services as we now have options to accept 30, 60, 90 days billing.
GOAL:  Make the RCB Option available in more ways

Large business packages, bulk purchases, and larger class fees (CMR/CIEA) could be financed if there is enough interest in such programs.  For example, a $5,000 CMI Starter Package could include everything someone needs to get started in business.  What would be the interest level in having that financed?  Product sales over $2,000 could be financed in 30/60/90 day billing.  What would be the level of interest in this?  Thermal Imaging camera equipment at $15,000 could be financed.  Is there interest?
GOAL:  Evaluate the need and desire for larger business packages to be financed.

Educational Services

CE Training schedule will now include three hours EVERY week (maybe a different night) to enhance continuing education and include ONE HOUR of Open Forum Q&A.  If we can find a NORMI member who will partner with us in 2007 to help provide time to make this happen, we will see the advent of a new tele-conferencing capability and CE Trainings will be archived in a variety of formats for easy download.
GOAL:  Institute Tele-Conferencing for CE Trainings

CBA (Certified Biocide Applicator) classes will be offered ONLINE twice a month to help encourage the additional training it provides.  All Warranties (including the ALL NEW Microbloc STRONG ARM Warranty, to be introduced next week) will be made available through a variety of methods including fax, snail mail, AND Internet.
GOAL:  Make Certificates of Inspection, Sanitization, and all Warranties available OFFLINE and ONLINE

Senior Trainers Jeff Owen, Della White, and Lance Eisen will be providing opportunities during each month for specialized training.  NORMI is continuing to look for and subsequently provide specific trainings to ACTIVE Members in the area of Indoor Air Quality, specific manufacturer's equipment, and additional services FREE of CHARGE to ACTIVE Members.
GOAL:  Provide FREE Trainings at least once a month throughout 2007 in TheClassroom

The new Accreditation and Affiliate Programs will require more training in a variety of fields.  With strategic alliances in place, like InfraSpection and National Institute of Workplace Safety (NIWS), NORMI will continue to offer reciprocity programs to industry professionals who are interested in helping promote the NORMI wholistic solution-based training.
GOAL:  Establish Commission Structure for Accreditation and Affiliate Programs

The law has been written and is posted at www.NORMI.org for the world to see.  We simply need to get it into the hands of legislators and decision-makers so we can further impact the industry.
GOAL:  Get the NORMI Legislation into EVERY Governor's hands.

Partnering with other NORMI Members in an advertising cooperative is a major step in the right direction.  No longer is it affordable for one business-owner to penetrate the market so a cooperative effort is vital to make an impact.
GOAL:  Provide opportunities for Co-Operative Advertising Programs
